Prettier version
that makes senseon Deconstructing Glee later today. Also, the caps thing is a side effect of current ridiculous project. Apols, etc. I will amend for DG post but not for Tumblr.
Quinn, Teen Jesus, Klaine, and Will. Boners, hand dryers, sea horses, pregnancy clothes, Egyptian gods, lesbian bed death and badwolf.
So it seemed like the pregnancy references were over. After all, Kurt and Mercedes helped “their lovechild” on her way to her new life via Sue’s shoes (misguided as their intentions may have been).
Except that the most recent spoilers indicate a hippopotamus brooch on Kurt’s clothing.
Early during the Old Kingdom, the Egyptians saw female hippopotami as less aggressive than the males, and began to view their aggression as only protecting their young–not territorial, as was male aggression. Consequently, Taweret became seen, very early in Egyptian history, as a deity of protection in pregnancy and childbirth. Pregnant women wore amulets with her name or likeness to protect their pregnancies.

So is Kurt “pregnant with possibility”? Is there just one thing (is Unique it?)? Or is Kurt expecting a litter?
lesbian bed death means that a lesbian couple is having less sex lately as their long relationship goes on
and apparently the pair that has this issue isn’t who’d we expect
so i’m assuming it’s not the LESBIAN COUPLE
kurt and blaine?
We’ve already seen them in Emma’s office, so maybe?
But also Finn and Rachel would make sense.
I — like many Blaine fans — have been anticipating this episode for an awful lot of reasons. Most of them have to do with finding out more about the things that make our favourite former Warbler so angsty.
Personally, I was hoping for:
- Baby Blaine and clarification re: race and whitewashing.
- Family Anderson drama
- Blaine’s extreme reactions justified.
- An exquisite storyline between Artie and Quinn. I couldn’t exactly tell where the pivot was in this. Whether Quinn was being unrealistically hopeful, or whether Artie was being necessarily pessimistic, or jealous? There is probably a bit of everything. It’s quite a story and it’s the first time I’ve given a damn about Quinn.
- Sue’s amnio results — what is wrong with my brain that I didn’t see that coming?
- Baby Blaine offering no clarification on Blaine’s racial background. Some say he looked white, others have pointed to his gelled down hair.

- Blaine singing another “empowered woman” song. Not new, but thematic.
- Finchel being excessively annoying. OMG would they shut up yet?
- The most awkward character transition into glee club ever. This was worse than Sugar Motta.
- The most incestuous-sibling vibe since V.C. Andrews.
Is Blaine singing It’s Not Right (But It’s Ok)???
Eeep, no.
Also, Blaine looks like he’s hosting one of the Bad Wolf game shows.
Tonight, I have altered my rather liberal policy re: comments. I have made edits removing personal insults from comments made. I have not approved one comment that I deemed abusive and misogynist. So…
– This is all kinds of amazing. The report itself actually, and the contents of it. Thank you everyone for chatting with me. You have no idea how much I’ve enjoyed all of it. Best Wishes for 2012….
Before you start hyperventilating, Mary, here’s why these other overtly gay moments didn’t make our list. 5) “Born This Way” (Season Two): More like Bored This Way (with the exception of Karofsky’s…
